Description
During menopause, the skin is subject to hormonal disturbances.
Between the ages of 45 and 55, oestrogen levels decrease, resulting in a complete modification of skin structure. Collagen levels decrease dangerously in both quantity and quality, causing the skin to lose firmness and wrinkles to set in. Less hydrated, the skin becomes drier and thinner; deprived of its natural protection, it feels uncomfortable and sensitive. Cell renewal becomes more difficult, and skin deprived of oxygen becomes dull.
